After romancing Ranbir Kapoor in Barfee, Ileana is all set to play love interest to Imran Khan in a romantic comedy which is expected to go on the floors this April. Ileana has been receiving many B-town offers but she wanted to weigh all the options before signing a plum project. In fact, even actors like Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan have showed keen interest in working with the reigning T-town beauty, but the 20-something actress prefers younger stars over middle-aged actors.
The romantic comedy will be directed by Punit Malhotra, whose film I Hate Luv Storys, was a big hit. “Talks are on but nothing is fixed yet,” says a source close to the actress. Ileana is also excited about her K-town debut, Nanban but wasn’t she embarrassed doing a lip lock with Tamil star Vijay? “It was just a simple kiss, almost a replica of the Aamir-Kareena act in the original. It was not an intimate lip lock, since she doesn’t like such acts,” adds the source.
Apart from a big film with Allu Arjun, the actress is discussing Telugu films with Pawan Kalyan and Jr NTR, as T-town continues to be her home ground. “She attributes her enviable position to Tollywood so it remains close to her heart,” says the source. With packed schedules, Ileana is finding it difficult to spare time for her jewelery line endorsement. “We are trying to squeeze in a few days,” the source concludes.
